Ice storms are beautiful, but SO dangerous.
Our schools were closed. I am glad they were.
As a matter of fact, I think the schools will be closed today as well. We are expecting more ice, and a lot of snow.
Are we in for a rough winter?
I might say so.
If I love it?
Hmmmm….not so sure. I would have enjoyed it tremendously if we did not have so many auditions scheduled in New York City (and Connecticut), Pennsylvania and North Carolina in January and February.
I sure hope the weather won't be too bad this winter.
The world turns into Narnia during an ice storm. There is a thick bark of ice covering trees, bushes, grass, cars, decorations.
It is painfully beautiful, but OH so traitorous.
It is a winter wonderland where I live right now.
These three pictures are taken from the balcony in my bedroom yesterday morning. As you can see the whole world is capsuled in ice.
I was out driving yesterday.
It really was zero problems to drive in the middle of the day. The roads were clear.
BUT, a thing that IS dangerous is walking.
Tree branches, and whole trees, are snapping all the time. And, ice is falling like glass from the branches.
So--no--power walks are out for today at least.
In my garden right now….Ice, ice, ice...
To receive snow days like these are like a gift from nature.
Snow days are natures message to us to calm down, to take it easy, to enjoy the moment.

On the golf course!
All I can say is, do enjoy!
You only live in Narnia so many days.

This tree belongs to neighbor. I love it. I shot this pic on Sunday when we still had plenty of white snow (today we'll probably get more of the white stuff).
This is my Christmas bench outside my house. It looks so nice now with the snow and ice covering it!
