Lotta's pic (just a bit edited by me). Lotta made a beautiful bouquet out of the flowers her daughters recieved on Saturday!
Saturday was warm, almost hot. I think it was around 85 degrees F (around 30 C), and it was humid (of course).
WE started the day at The Farmer's Market in Lake Anne.
We love that market.
Later on we were headed for a dance performance.
My good, good friend Lotta's both daughters were dancing.
Iris, the little sister, held the main part of the entire performance, and she was amazing.
Elsa, big sister, had big parts as well, and she was equally good.
Lotta and Magnus, you have go to be so proud of your beautiful, and talented girls!!
But, Elsa dear, NOW I see your shirt!! WHAT is that all about ;-)? "BEAT South Lakes". HAHA!! Elsa and Karolina go to different High Schools, despite both living in Reston. Karolina goes to South Lakes, and Elsa to Herndon High School. The two schools are rivals (on a friendly level). Funny that I never noticed your shirt on Saturday :-)
We had lunch, and ice cream there!
In the evening, Karolina went out with friends.
Peter and I decided to spend the evening on our deck. I call my deck "The Best Deck", simply because I love it so much!
WE decided to walk out on the golf course around 8'o clock in the evening.
The golfers were gone as the twilight fell quicker and quicker.
As you can see we have no white nights. The summer nights here are dark, pitch black.
But, they are lovely regardless.
SO warm, like velvet.
And, you know what, we have fire flies. Fire flies are like little fairies in the night. They are magical as they lit up the nights.
Yes, I love the white nights up north, but I also really love the summer nights here.
Karolina is going to the beach today.
She'll be back Friday!
I guess my summer vacation has started, too.
Have a good one today!!
