First of all, Boston.
Can you not run a marathon without fearing for your life?
What is wrong with people?
Who places bombs at the finish line at a marathon?
How horrifying for Boston. HOW horrifying for the runners and their families.
Things like this make me both mad and very sad. It makes me angry, and it leaves me with a feeling of emptiness and hopelessness. Good grief.
My thoughts go out to all the victims and their families and friends.
And, may we get some “answers” soon.
That being said...
It is Tuesday again and I am about to venture out for a camera walk.
Yes, you guys know that I have a “hard” time resisting to take photos when the nature stands in (almost) all its glory.
This time of the year is made for photo nerds like myself. We all go nuts.
So, very soon the Canon and I will team up and create photos.
Yesterday, Karolina and I went to Tysons Corner Center.
Sure, we had to buy clothes for her.
It is always a bit trying to shop in teenage stores. The music is so loud, and it is do dark and it reeks of perfume.
HAHA, I DO sound old.
BUT I am not quite as old that I shop at Chico’s, Eddie Bauer or Coldwater Creek yet. Please stop me when I start going there. Or, maybe the other way around? Steer me in the direction of those stores when I start to look to old for my current style.
I am way beyond Forever 21 and Hollister (thank the lord) but way too young for some (old ladies) stores.
Anyway, we did find Karolina a prom dress!
Her Junior Prom is on May 10, and she’s going with a bunch of people.
I am so glad we found her dress.
Here it is!
Jessica McClintock is always a sure bet, and you can never go wrong there (or so I think).
Now we will have to find shoes, accessories and figure out Karolina’s hair-do.
But, that’ll be fun.
The next time you'll see this dress Karolina will ALL dolled up for her prom.
Prom, that is a huge deal in this country.
I will write more about The Prom in my series “American Phenomenons”. Check out for it soon.
Have a good Tuesday. I am out of here!!!
