The TV-season is upon us!
It is time to rejoice in front of the telly again! Time to charge up the DVR, and TiVo, and what NOT! There are so many shows to watch. Almost every night is a TV-night..
Let’s take a look on what is good, and not so good, this season…
I am totally and UTTERLY in love with “How I met your mother”. I think that sitcom is priceless. AND, I so love Neil Patrick Harris. His one-liners are so great! We all love that show in my little family.
I am also totally fond of “Two and a half men”. I know what I want for Christmas; I want all the previous seasons on DVD!
Charlie Sheen is my man! That show cracks me UP every time!
How I met your mother.
Two and a half men.
What I am skipping: Dancing with the Stars. I DVR:ed it last Monday, But no, I will not watch it. I don’t want to see Bristol Palin dance, for one. And I don’t care about the rest of the stars either. I usually watch DWTS every other season. I just have to take a rest from this season. DWTS is called “Let’s Dance” in Sweden. So, now you guys know what I am talking about.
GLEE is the best show on TV!!! Absolutely wonderful, with singers (and dancers) that are so incredibly talented. Glee has a great underlying message on how it feels to be different (in high school), and how it feels to not quite fit in. All of a sudden the cast burst out in song and dance. Tonight Britney Spears will guest star, and I cannot wait!!
Hell’s Kitchen. Oh yes, it is a good thing we have a couple of DVR’s in this house so we can tape a lot of shows that happen to get up against each other. I have SUCH a weak spot for Chef Gordon Ramsey (you all know that). I love Hell’s Kitchen, but can you IMAGINE being one of the aspiring chefs in this show? I think I would have fainted during the first taping if I was a contestant. Anyway, it’s a great show.
My man, Gordon!
What (I think) I am skipping: The Biggest Loser. I used to love this show, but after last Tuesday’s two hour premiere I am not so sure. It was long, and boring and quite humiliating for the cast. I think I am over it. However, it can be a very inspiring show to watch. I might just have to take a break this season.
Cougar Town, is a sitcom about women my age. I really like it, and I really like Courtney Cox. However, every time I watch the show I feel like popping up a bottle of red. They drink as much red wine as the cast in “Friends” used to drink coffee. Gimme red wine, like, now, now…now…
Survivor, yes I am still a sucker for the age old reality series. I think it holds up season after season. It is always good, always painful. Yes, it is modeled after the original Swedish TV-show “Expedition Robinson”. I have never, ever watched the Swedish version of the show, but I think I will do it this season online.
The host, Jeff Probst. I do like him!!
Last week I wrote about all the Swedish TV- shows I am currently watching online. That post was part one in the “TV-Junkie series” here on my blog.
My beloved Project Runway . I have DVR:ed the season that started over the summer while I was in Europe. I am watching it with Karolina. We are both fans!
Friday and Saturday are empty days
The Amazing Race, always good. I think I have watched all the seasons of the show. It holds up.
I hate to admit that I watch “The real housewives of DC”. Gosh, it makes me almost physically nauseous. It is pure trash TV. The only reason I watch is due to the fact that it is all set in DC and Northern VA. But the lives these women lead are nothing but embarrassing. Call it my guilty pleasure. But it is mostly my guilty SHAME. I get into a really strange mood after watching the show.
It is gross. And so are all “the real housewives” shows. When the DC season has wrapped up I will never watch the show again. Promise. I cannot stomach it.
I do feel bad...
