Hold onto your hats!
Today is a SCHOOL DAY!!
Yes, the kids are going back to school, with a two hour delay, but still?
Karolina said that she might have forgotten her locker combination. She hasn’t been to school since the fourth of February!
The schools are asking us to carpool and be careful while driving our kids to school. The sidewalks leading to the school (Karolina’s school) have not been cleared yet. WHAT SO EVER!! But, the kids have to go back at some point, right?
So, today it is!
After Karolina has been dropped off, I am heading straight to McLean to get my hair cut and highlighted. Will be so nice!! Bye to ugly roots!
I had to cancel the appointment last Tuesday due to the snow, but today it is on.
One of my dear commentators asked me if I am sick of the snow.
NO, not at all!!
I am loving this, and I would actually LOVE to see another blizzard hitting! Yes, I would LOVE it!
I did read an article in the Washington Post recently about snow lovers, as myself. We seem to be an unusual crowd since most people here ARE sick of the snow. But not me!! NO way! I say; bring it ON!!!
Are you watching the Olympics?
I am! I love the winter Olympics and yesterday was a good day being a Swede since Charlotte Kalla skied home a gold medal in 10 KM cross-country. Susanna and I watched it together at her place in the afternoon, and we both really choked up.
Wimps as we are… *
All right, back to normal life…
Myabe I'll show you some before and after pictures of my "do" later on today!
*All right, it is kind of hard watching the nightly broadcast on NBC. Karolina and I tried watching the figure skating last night, and they broke for commercials ALL the time + that sometimes you did not even get to see the POINTS that the skaters got from the judges. I gave up. NBC tends to ruin it a bit.
It is better to watch the Olympics during the day, on NBC's sister channels. Less interruptions, more games, and not all these schmaltzy-stories that the network favors. Enough with that, enough NOW!!
Oh, and I cannot STAND the commentator B'o-b C'o-stas...
He makes me shiver...
Other than that, yes, the Olympic games are GREAT!
