I hope all is good with you around the globe.
Here I am again on a regular Tuesday in January. Yes, I am about to head out in nature in a moment. Daily PW, as you all know…
I discovered (downloaded) a cool appt on my iPhone called Wunderradio!! It is so FUN!!! You can listen to numerous radio stations around the globe, and the sound and the reception is actually REALLY good. SO today I will be walking and listening to MIX Megapol in Sweden! It is sort of weird to listen to Swedish radio in real time when you are not in said country. SO strange to hear reports on traffic in Stockholm, the weather reports (COLD and snowy) and all the events that are announced around the city. FUN, but weird.
Yesterday, we had totally super-freaky-WTF weather here in the DC area. I was totally shocked as I walked out in it early morning. It was 17 degrees C (61 degrees F) and HUMID!!! It was also pouring down rain, and it was sooo windy.
Later on, it cleared up, but then it turned to rain and thunder. SO strange.
I miss the winter SO much I can TASTE it! This is so not my cup of tea!
PLUS that I got these boots in the mail yesterday! Yes, now I am the proud owner of a pair of classic tall UGG boots. And man, are they COMFY!!! I love them!
It is me and all the middle schoolers around here that are flashing our UGGS.
I can really recommend the web-site I ordered them from; Zappos.com
Services were FAST and prompt. I ordered the boots Thursday afternoon online, and they arrived yesterday. No shipping and handling fees either…
I have also discovered these beautiful fragrant candles! And, I am in love! It is the Voluspa candles, and they smell like heaven! I buy them at my favorite store around here; Anthropologie.
YOU can smell them even when they are not lit…
Oh, and why not continue this EGO-blog post!
There is a store here in the US called Sephora, it is a store full of makeup and fragrances and skin-care. Heaven for us gals, and even for some boyzz, I am sure. This is where I buy ALL my make-up.
I used to swear by Bare Essential Mineral Make up, but over the last year, or so, I have found it not that great anymore. It is like it is creeping into my lines and wrinkles in an ugly way.
SO; I went to Sephora, as always, and they recommended Lancôme’s mineral powder foundation instead. It is said to be better for the 40+ crowd. And BOY IS IT!!! I love it! This is so much better for me than B-E used to be. This works! I am also a total sucker for Sephora’s eye shadows!
I am reading a very good book by the moment, in Swedish, about the homeless in Stockholm. In Stockholm, the homeless have their own magazine that they can write in (if they wish), and sell, to the public. It is called “Situation Stockholm” and when a homeless man or woman sells the magazine they get to keep a big part of the money they are making by selling this magazine. When in Stockholm, I usually buy the magazine when I see a person selling it. The book that I am reading is made out of articles and diaries that have run in the magazine, and it is such a good book.
You would think Sweden has such a great social security system, but you realize that it is not the case while you are reading this book. It is a never ending fight (for the homeless) with the social workers in the city and the counties surrounding Stockholm. You read about crummy shelters, sleeping on buses and in the subway. But there are also a few success stories in the book. I am really recommending this book to my Swedish readers!
All right, another Tuesday and another MK Chit-CHAT show!
The gals are busy now rehearsing for the musical “High School Musical” that they will be performing in the end of April at their school, so I hope they will still have time to record the CHIT-CHAT SHOW!!
Here is part two. Enjoy ;-)
Have a good Tuesday!
