Raindrops keep falling on my head...
Yes, that is the way it is here in the metropolitan DC area right now.
Rainy and chilly!
A week ago the AC was going strong in the house, and now we have the heat on instead. It seems to be impossible for the weather to turn to a nice medium.
I would really like to take you all on a photo tour, but the weather keeps me away from that. I want to show you all the beautiful, blooming azaleas that look like pretty wedding cakes. If the weather will continue like this, they will be long gone before I can go out there and shoot some pictures.
Lately, I’ve been busy creating my second book on My Publisher (and I will start creating my third book there later on this week).
My Publisher is a great tool, a wonderful tool, for photo nerds like myself. The blogging world is filled with great photographers. We all share our big interest in photographing. I think so many of my fellow bloggers have used My Publisher. And, you know what ( I am NOT being paid to say this), I think it is a pure joy to work with MP. It is easy to down load, it is easy to work with and the results are always the best.
It is so satisfying to see your pictures in a book. It is more fun that way than to just show them off from your computer, or TV.
A book is a book, and it will always be there.
So, I am about to create my third book using MP!
It is so dark and miserable outside that I have candles burning next to me. It is something with a gray and rainy day that just makes you want to curl up in bed with a good book, isn’t it?
That is what I want to do right now, but I won’t.
Heck, it’s also been so long since I read a really good book. I don’t even know if I have read a good book this year. I am tired of mediocre books. I want to read something that will grab me from the first sentence and stay with me to the last word. But lately it’s been a bunch of “so-so” books.
A word from Karolina.
Hi, I am the blogger’s daughter. I came to write about how much I wish the warm weather would come. It’s so cold and dreary right now…
Ugh I really hate the rain. I wish it would stop but unfortunately there’s going to be rain ALL week. Oh well…what can you do? The good thing about Reston is that bad weather never really does stay for that long so I am expecting next week to be warm and sunny!!
On Saturday, a pool nearby me opens up called Ridge heights. It’s a nice heated pool which is always a great joy to go to in the summer! There are sixteen different public pools here in Reston. All you need to get in is a pool pass which costs about 20 dollars. All the pools are very nice with some small and hidden and others large and crowded, ridge heights is just one of them!
My favorite of all the pools has to be Glade pool. A large pool that has an extra large (and deep) deep end. A long blue slide which goes about 50 feet up. It’s always very popular (and crowded) which means that you might see one of your friends there! Another great thing about the pools is that when you’re in the water you might just hear a festive toon coming from a white truck. Yes that’s right the ice-cream truck! All the kids go running out to taste the flavors of summer! All the ice-creams and popsicles taste so fresh after you’ve been in the heat swimming around. That’s all I wanted to write, thanks for reading!
Signed, the summer lover!
