It is so nice now when it is getting a lot lighter outside in the mornings.
Since I am always up early I can certainly enjoy that.
It is not that I WANT to wake up around 6 every day. It just happens and I cannot do a thing about it.
It would be OH so nice if I could sleep to, say nine, on the weekends, but I cannot. My hubby and daughter can snooze away, but I am wide awake---BORING!!
Peter is not that much of a snoozer anymore, but he used to be. These days he’s up around 8 on a Saturday and Sunday morning.
The boring thing with me is that in the evenings I get so damn tired.
If we are watching a movie I will fall asleep before the movie is over nine times out of ten. That is extremely annoying, even for me. I want to stay awake!! I would love to watch a couple of movies with my night owl hubby every weekend.
Peter loves watching movies. He loves going to the video store to pick out what we will watch for the weekend.
Peter always rents the movies in our family. And being Peter he’s just as tuned into what I like. That is so nice, but it is not so nice when I doze off within 20 minutes of the movie of MY choice.
GOSH, that is so irritating! I wish I could stop that.
Maybe I should start taking a nap every afternoon, but I have such a hard time falling asleep during the day.
Maybe I should go out on the deck every time I sense that Mr. Sandman is near? Or, maybe I should drop ice cubes down my back when I feel drowsy?
The thing is, that I sleep so damn good in front of the tube. I don’t get that, but I do. Then when I get in bed for the night I become wide awake. I will have to read for a long time in order to get back to sleep.
Kronblom, an old Swedish cartoon character.
Another weird thing is that I would never, ever fall asleep in front of Sex and the City! Go figure!
Peter hardly ever dozes off, no matter what we watch. I so appreciate that!
I have forced him to watch SO many chick flicks. SO many!! And usually he enjoys them. But, when I watch one of his movies, I am on the express train to Z-Z-land even before the credits have stopped rolling. Not fair!
When I grab a couple of pillows from the couch and pile them on Peter’s lap then ask him to massage my head, I send myself off. That happens every, dang time. What can I say? It is TOTALLY my fault.
So, how about you? Are you able to stay awake during a movie at home?
Do you have any good ideas on how to stop the bad habit of falling asleep too early?
Anyway, have a very nice Tuesday!!
