All right, guys!
Today's the day! Today IS THE DAY!!
Sadly enough I cannot vote. I am not a citizen, and right now that sucks!
How I wish I could have been standing there in line waiting to vote today.
ALL I can do is to walk past the Elementary school in our neighborhood. I will glance at the line of people standing there to vote. I will be "OH so close" but yet so far away.
But, for sure during my PW today, I will go past the local school just to soak up the atmosphere. How I wish I could be voting today!!
Ingrid, my German neighbor, will be able to vote today for the first time in a presidential election. GUESS who she's voting for!! That is right, she's voting for "our guy"!!! G'OBAMA!! I will have to ask her later on today how it felt, voting for the first time in this historical election!!
Karolina's school held a school election recently. Obama won with 90%!!! 90%!! That is remarkable, even in liberal Reston. I hope, to God, that it will set the tone for the entire election.
I am worried, I AM!! Virginia is a swing state, and for the first time VA might vote democratic. HOW I WISH for that to be true!!! I cannot relax until this is all over. I have a feeling that we are in for a long night. The election coverage on TV starts at 7PM, and it will go on to way after midnight. But, look guys...VA is a swing state, so is Florida, North Carolina and Ohio...All those states are located on the east coast...Maybe we will have some kind of idea around 11 tonight.
My neighbor Sara, a die hard democrat, said that we should all meet up in the common area tonight if it goes well for our guy!
AS you can tell this is all I can think about today. It is a historical day today, for sure. I am glad to be here when the country of USA will set world history!
GO OBAMA!! GO!!
SWEDE for Obama!!!
And Peter went voting at 5:45 this morning! The poll's in Virginia opened at 6 AM. Peter said it was crowded, but he was able to vote, and get home again, in within 40 minutes. When he left the school the line of voters outside was so long. But Peter HAS voted, he is done...
A good feeling!!
