Almost fall...The days have turned a lot cooler, it gets dark earlier in the evenings, and the days are crisp, cool and blue. Clear!!
This is by far my favorite season in the DC-area. The muggy and hot summer is gone. This is my kind of season.
Pretty soon it’ll be time to switch the wardrobes from summer to fall/winter. I love fall/winter clothes!
It is a feeling of change in the air. The activities start lining up; the weekends are busy with trips to the country-side, to the city and so on…
And then there is the TV…
Out of all my friends I think I am the one with the busiest TV-schedule. We all talked about it yesterday at the “Breakfast Club”. And, yes, I was the one with the most shows on my” to-watch-list”…
See, I don’t know how to feel about that? Am I too much of a junkie to have so many shows lined up? But in the evenings there is nothing nicer, to me, than to sit down and watch a show, or two! I love that!
So, what is there to see, for me, this fall?
Mondays---Dancing with the Stars and Bachelor (yes, yes…I hear you…the Bachelor…Not the greatest of the greatest of shows to watch, yet so entertaining)
Tuesdays---Biggest Loser (the cool Jillian is BACK) and (at least the first shows of) Cavemen.
Wednesdays---Pushing Daises (new, I will at least watch the pilot), Kids Nation (new, again, I’ll watch the pilot), Kitchen Nightmares (Gordon Ramsey’s show) and Bionic Woman (Again, the pilot) As you can see Wednesdays are jammed packed.
Thursdays---Survivor (We’ve followed every single “Survivor” since the start in 2000, and I am not to give up on it now), Grey’s Anatomy. And, yes of course, Tim “my hero” Gunn’s “Guide to Style”.
Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays are FREE days!!
So, hmmmm…lemme count here: 1, 2, 3…..10 shows a week!!!!
Is that excessive??? Maybe it is? And can I follow them all at once? No, thank God for TiVo!! Without that little smart device I might as well have said “fugget about it” long ago. Peter may watch some shows above with me and sometimes he watches his own favorites including LOST, 24 and football. Again, if it wasn’t for TiVo I could not have all these shows lined up for the fall. Often Peter and I can TiVo a show and then watch it during the weekend, the beauty with TiVo is that you can skip all the awful, and time consuming, commercials.
Are we TV-Junkies Grande? Oh, and out of all the cable channels HGTV has loads of great shows to watch. I am a sucker for HGTV. Luckily I don’t have to schedule many of the shows there since most of them end up on my cable company’s “On Demand” service. I am forever grateful for “on demand”.
So, how about you? Are you a TV-Junkie? How many shows a week do you watch?
